Welcome to my little corner of the vast God planned domain. I plan to share mostly my card projects here, you might even possible see some scrapping, quilt projects, and photography. Who knows I may even try other craft projects. Might even share a selection of little recipe cards I have collected over the past few years - scrapped, of course. There may even be some little things of greatness of my daily life. Every now and then, I might even vent!

Busy little Bee

I was quite busy this 3 day weekend making 2 large card sets for Christmas gifts. Three generations of us do quilting and I saw a quilt card and was hooked. Therefore I made 2 of each of the following cards for my  mom and some other gift.  As some say I am bitten by the bug. The scanner has an issue so I could not add the other two. I got most of the patterns and tutorials from pinterest, some from Stampin Up and some on other spots. Thanks to all who have posted before me with these patterns and designs. This afternoon I wanted to do something with another stamp set Festive Flurry, the dies cuts and the Winter Frost paper. I found this card by Renee O and then the tutorial by Dawn O and fell in love with it.  Thanks gals for the directions and inspiration. I did add another layer to my card, did not use the stamps and changed a couple other things. That makes 2 cards today and no stamping. Oh my gotta use the stamps!!

Witches Brew Halloween

I had purchased this paper to make some Halloween cards and was at the point for my swaps so I used the SFF081613 by Deb Currier for my inspiration.  I wanted more texture and depth so I added a few more layers to the card and the pieces. I am not really a Halloween person but liked this paper since it is not so gorish as some can be. Thanks SU.  I also added dimensional behind a piece of the word paper for more depth. Thanks for the very quick and simple sketch SFF gals. Was a fun card to do and no mess.

Supplies Used:
No stamp sets

Thank You Floral

Made the card this morning  but had to wait for the dazzles to dry. Also I went and scrap booked today with a few girlfriends. We had a great time and I completed 8 pages.  So excited but sad at the same time because I am headed back to work full time Friday and will not get to play here or there very often.

This is my card sample for SC439. Love the sketch, was quite easy to put together. Yesterday I found the color challenge at Color Q blog and had to use it. The colors are great together but had to go searching for some of the old paper and ink for the Ruby Red. Adding to my Thank You card stash for future use.

Cutest Baby Ever

These 3 cards are my class cards for the Label Love and Artisan Punch duo.  I know two people expecting boys so I used a masculine theme and the HSS #166 color challenge. I think we can finish these 3 cards and 6 others in a couple of hours. Hope they like them all. I had fun cutting the kits. Also going to use Mosaic Madness and Six-Sided Sampler stamps sets and Mosaic and Hexagon punches for the other 6 cards.

Supplies used were:
Stamps: Label Love
Paper: Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz from the Nursery Nest DSP and
Early Espresso from the Letters to Santa DSP.

Very quick simple and yet does the trick. Please let me know if you like my cards or have any questions.
My card inspiration cam from two different sites today: Splitcoststampers  for the color challenge of Old Melon Daffodils and then the  SUO #77. I am very pleased with this easy card to do in a card class featuring our new Label Love stamp set and the Gingham Garden DSP collection.  I think the girls will like the color combo and brightness of this card also.  Thanks for posting these challenges.  My last week to play hard.

FS340 Morning Meadow BD

The featured Stamper today was This weeks Featured Stamper is Ashjoy! Joyce aka Ashjoy has a wonderful gallery HERE with creations from cards, scrapbook pages to 3d creations. A little something for everyone. Congrats and enjoy your week!

I used her card:
FEB10VSNE as my inspiration.  Changed the colors and the stamps but used the sketch idea. Had fun with this card and needed to follow this color challenge for a swap group. Joyce had used a stamp to make a background on the white piece so I used a sponge dauber and added color to my background.

I made this card early this am but my scanner was not working and my dear hubby just fixed it 8 hours later after church, a church picnic and my moaning and groaning about my scanner printer all in one.

Stamps: Morning Meadow (hostess)
Paper: Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Sycamore DSP (Sale-A-Bration), Bashful Blue DSP in Monochromatic
Ink: Calypso Coral, Marina Mist

Inspiration Challenge 400 on SCS

National Geographic was our Inspiration site today so I chose the following - Here is my inspiration: http://national-geographic.cafepress...dscapes?page=7.

Though God's beauty is very complex and integrated with lots of color I chose to make my card very clean and simple. Not normally my style so I am not sure I totally love the card. There are a ton of colors in the picture so I tried to get the sky, water, grass, and changing leaves as best I could. Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Changing color, cool breezes, warm days and back to school and work for me.

Stamps: Blooming with Kindness
Paper: Many DSP scraps not sure where they are all from but the colors are: Wisteria Wonder, Pumpkin     Pie, Cajun Craze, Some blue and white, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. CS is Garden Green and Very Vanilla.
Ink: Cajun Craze
Accessories, Hexagon Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch. Dimensional in the center.

Thanks for taking the time to look and leave any comments or questions.

Having so much fun today in the craft room

I used the sketch from MOJO Monday 304 and the colors from the Color Q 199 challenge to make my card.  I used the round version which I needed for a round card swap on my Swap group. Just getting under the deadline for Color Q.

This was quite a challenge for me since I had to go hunt up all of my old colors and papers.  Had a couple sheets of Dusty Durango and a small scrap of Groovy Guava (I think that is what it is). The pattern papers came from my retired packs of Raspberry Tart for the Kiwi Kiss and Ginger Blossoms for the Groovy Guava.  Barely had enough but was able to make four cards for two different swaps later this fall - a round card and an autumn card.  I really like how my card turned out. Please take time to leave me a comment.

Stamps: Secret Garden, Bloomin' Marvelous
Paper: Dusty Durango, Groovy Guava, Crumb Cake since I had no Kraft left, DSP Raspberry Tart for the Kiwi Kiss, and DSP Ginger Blossom for the Groovy Guava
Ink: Dusty Durango, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: SU - Large Scallop Circle, Dimensionals, Secret Garden Framelit Dies, Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon, 2 1/2" Circle Punch: CM-Circle Cutting System

I'm Here For You

I had a chance to play in my craft room today and created the following card for the colour challenge at Stampin’ Royalty #186 and the sketch challenge over at Inspired by Stamping July's Challenge. I love both the layout and the color choices. Sionce my card is a gate fold I made a belly band with the flowers and ribbon to slide off and open the card.

Stamps: Blooming With Kindness
Paper: Bermuda, Bay, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White, DSP packs
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, SU green colored brad, Paper Daisies, Dimensionals

New Flower Look

Hopefully I can get more time to post on my blog, I was doing great for awhile then life happened more than I wish. My DH hurt his back and we had to take him to ER via ambulance as he could not get out of bed. Then three weeks later he developed a huge kidney stone and had to have it remove just Monday. So I am home catching up on some cards instead spending my spring break on the Oregon coast.

Yesterday I was watching a box video by Brandy and loved the flower she put on her belly band. Also love using this flower punch for my BRAK birthday cards therefore, I combined the two and this is what I came up with. I order the box die cut so those will have to wait a few days but many a card to complete.

Another Secret Garden Card

I loved this sketch when I saw it and now for the life of me cannot find it again to recognize who posted the original.  Also like the color combo posted on one of my favorite blog sites so I had to make this card:

For some reason my scanner always cuts off the little bit of edge, going to have to play and figure it out.
Going to be sending this card to some of the Feb BRAK birthdays. Watch your mailbox. Also make some kits for a spring card class in March. Trying to get ahead a little on a few cards for classes and swaps.

Stamp: Secret Garden, Bring on the Cake

Thank you for looking and taking the time to leave a comment.  They are greatly appreciated.
Also lots of thanks to whomever I cased.
