Welcome to my little corner of the vast God planned domain. I plan to share mostly my card projects here, you might even possible see some scrapping, quilt projects, and photography. Who knows I may even try other craft projects. Might even share a selection of little recipe cards I have collected over the past few years - scrapped, of course. There may even be some little things of greatness of my daily life. Every now and then, I might even vent!

Wetlands Birthday

Whipped this card up really quickly before I left for work this morning. I love the Wetlands stamp set and needed a masculine birthday card. Really like the way the background paper turned out. I inked one side of the embossing folder and then inserted very vanilla paper and ran it through the Big Shot. Wanted a card that was simple and quick yet elegant, therefore, I used the Try Stamping on Tuesday sketch for the week.

Stamp: Wetlands
Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Early Espresso
Accessories: Soft Suede Polka Dotted Ribbon, Starburst Framelit Dies,  Wood Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Circles Diecuts, Small oval punch, Dimensional.

Thanks for looking and leaving any comments. They are much appreciated.

Thanks Roberta.

Celebrate the Everyday Sale-A-Bration

I got my order yesterday and loved the new things in there, It was hard to decide what to use first so I went to SCS and found TLC463. This is the cutest flower and I used scalloped Circle punch instead of a plain circle. Love the little flower - thanks Joan Ervin for the technique and Stamperrobin for the sketch.

I think next time I will use a little bigger punch. I also turned my sketch up and down instead of sideways.

Quilted Card for TPP #158

Since I also love to quilt but just have not had the time or access to my sewing machine for a few years I decided to make a quilted card I cased from SCS Photo Gallery. I have always liked the looks of quilted cards so after seeing this one and the color challenge at TPP #158 I just knew I had to make this card. I am quite happy with how it turned out and will use it in the future for a quilted look card on my swap group. TPP #158 was a color challenge and I always love to participate in those as I have a color block lots of times. Thanks gals for the inspiration. The tough part on this card was getting the bow to have the ruffles lay the right direction not stretching.

Stamp: Pennant Parade
Paper: Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzazz, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Birthday Basics DSP (Crisp Cantaloupe), Gingham Garden DSP (Pear Pizzazz) & Quatrafancy DSP (Strawberry Slush)
Ink: Strawberry Slush
Accessories. Crisp Cantaloupe Stretch Ruffle Trim, Glue dots, Tulip Frame EF, Square Latice EF

Thanks so much for taking the time to look, leave a message or ask a question. Feedback is always appreciated.

Inspiration Challenge 400 on SCS

National Geographic was our Inspiration site today so I chose the following - Here is my inspiration: http://national-geographic.cafepress...dscapes?page=7.

Though God's beauty is very complex and integrated with lots of color I chose to make my card very clean and simple. Not normally my style so I am not sure I totally love the card. There are a ton of colors in the picture so I tried to get the sky, water, grass, and changing leaves as best I could. Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Changing color, cool breezes, warm days and back to school and work for me.

Stamps: Blooming with Kindness
Paper: Many DSP scraps not sure where they are all from but the colors are: Wisteria Wonder, Pumpkin     Pie, Cajun Craze, Some blue and white, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. CS is Garden Green and Very Vanilla.
Ink: Cajun Craze
Accessories, Hexagon Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch. Dimensional in the center.

Thanks for taking the time to look and leave any comments or questions.

Having so much fun today in the craft room

I used the sketch from MOJO Monday 304 and the colors from the Color Q 199 challenge to make my card.  I used the round version which I needed for a round card swap on my Swap group. Just getting under the deadline for Color Q.

This was quite a challenge for me since I had to go hunt up all of my old colors and papers.  Had a couple sheets of Dusty Durango and a small scrap of Groovy Guava (I think that is what it is). The pattern papers came from my retired packs of Raspberry Tart for the Kiwi Kiss and Ginger Blossoms for the Groovy Guava.  Barely had enough but was able to make four cards for two different swaps later this fall - a round card and an autumn card.  I really like how my card turned out. Please take time to leave me a comment.

Stamps: Secret Garden, Bloomin' Marvelous
Paper: Dusty Durango, Groovy Guava, Crumb Cake since I had no Kraft left, DSP Raspberry Tart for the Kiwi Kiss, and DSP Ginger Blossom for the Groovy Guava
Ink: Dusty Durango, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: SU - Large Scallop Circle, Dimensionals, Secret Garden Framelit Dies, Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon, 2 1/2" Circle Punch: CM-Circle Cutting System

I'm Here For You

I had a chance to play in my craft room today and created the following card for the colour challenge at Stampin’ Royalty #186 and the sketch challenge over at Inspired by Stamping July's Challenge. I love both the layout and the color choices. Sionce my card is a gate fold I made a belly band with the flowers and ribbon to slide off and open the card.

Stamps: Blooming With Kindness
Paper: Bermuda, Bay, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White, DSP packs
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, SU green colored brad, Paper Daisies, Dimensionals

Also check my card out at  Stampin’ Royalty and Inspired by Stamping. Any comments or questions are gladly accepted. Thanks for taking time to look. I love what I do.
