Welcome to my little corner of the vast God planned domain. I plan to share mostly my card projects here, you might even possible see some scrapping, quilt projects, and photography. Who knows I may even try other craft projects. Might even share a selection of little recipe cards I have collected over the past few years - scrapped, of course. There may even be some little things of greatness of my daily life. Every now and then, I might even vent!

Sale A Bration sneak

This card is made from the Big Day Sale-A-Bration set I just received a couple of days ago. I needed a swap card for a child's birthday in my swap group; therefore I made this card. Also wanted to use the last sketch of 2014 from SCS and the color challenge from CCMC. I was not so sure about the colors but liked it once I made the card. Liked the sketch as it was very simple and whipped 4 cards out in 15 minutes.

Stamps: Big Day (Sale-A-Bration 2015)
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Real Red and Whisper White
Accessories: Arrows Embossing Folder, retired Label Punch.

Thanks for looking and leaving any comments or questions. They are all appreciated greatly.

Happy New Year

I spent Jan 1&2 making a few new cards. Need to get a few completed before I go back to work on the 5th. Oh my break is almost over.

The first card was from SFF010215 and PPA234. SFF was a sketch challenge posted 1/2/15 and
PPA was a color challenge posted 1/1/15.  I am a little disappointed in the way the colors turned out on my card. The "Best Wishes" is stamped in Wisteria Wonder but it looks gray. I layers the 3 colors of ribbon to accent and add some pop.

Stamp: Best Year Ever
Ink: Wisteria Wonder
Paper: Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White & Shimmery Silver, scrap of Flirtatious DSP
Accessories: Night of Navy seam binding ribbon, Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon and Silver ribbon, a fishers border punch, 1 3/4 x 7/8 oval and scalloped oval punch, dimensionals, Wisteria Wonder marker

This above cards is a sketch from OWH245. I absolutely love their sketches and an going to try to make another box of cards for them again in 2015. Hopefully they will get in the mail in the next 4-5 months.

Stamp: Crazy About You (new for sale on 1/5/15)
Ink : Calypso Coral
Paper: Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White & Best Year Ever DSP (new 2015)
Accessories: Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon, Tag Maker Punch, New Flower Medallion Punch,
Decorative Dots embossing folder, dimensionals

This last card is also from OWH244. Another wonderful sketch. Always need cards for the SCS BRAK.

Stamp: Butterfly Basics (also new 2015)
Ink; Basic Brown, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana
Paper: Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Whisper White & Best Year Ever DSP (new 2015)
Accessories: Crushed Curry Polka Dotted Ribbon, Blender Pens, Small Butterfly Punch,
dimensionals, tiny Pearls, Sponge Daubers

Thank you so much for leaving comments, they are very much appreciated. Also sorry I am not on my blog as much as I would love to be. I am going to try to post more in 2015, each year I get to do more.

A Little Kindness

After being gone for a week of camping I am home and ready to play. Also will be going to back to school orientation later this week and then back for the year next Monday. Play time will be cut back a little then. During the week at camp I developed a very sore groin and the pain ran down my leg and into my kneecap. Not sure what is going on there, hope it is not a blood clot but I do go to the Dr. this pm.

This is for the Color Challenge CC491 today and MOJO354 inspired by stampinChristy. I did change the Bermuda Bay to Tempting Turquoise to go with the DSP I used for the card. Thanks Christy. I really like the layout and wanted to used this new stampset for this week's challenge. I did layer my two printed pieces and added ink around the circle to make it stand out just a little more. Added a little Old Olive for the leaf and cut the ends of my ribbon with some pinking shears.

I am not really a Halloween type of gal but I will need a couple cards for my swap group therefore I did one for the cause today. Also used yesterday's sketch from FMS147. Here it is:

Love the color challenge today as these are some of my favorites along with the Sweet Sorbet Paper. Wanted to also use two need stamp sets so combined them with this sketch SC464 and today's color challenge CC489. I am also working on packing up my first box of 100 cards to be sent to Operation Write Home on Friday. The I Like You stamp is a little hard to see as it is also on the Pool Party Party under the Trust God stamp.

Stamps: I Like You, Trust God
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Sweet Sorbet DSP
Ink: Pool Party, Calypso Coral
Accessories: 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Ruffled Calypso Coral Ribbon

Try Stamping on Tuesday

My card for the TSOT #176, sketch challenge. I love the Sweet Sorbet DSP so wanted to use it. Also uses color challenge CC487 of Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzaza, Soft Sky, Soft Suede & Whisper White. I used a border punch to make the scallop and added some Crisp Cantaloupe Stretch Ruffle Trim to the card. The Build A Bird Punch and scalloped Circle were handy for the focal point after daubing with ink.

My MOJO 354 card is a day late but had a hard time deciding what to do. I cam eup with this card as I have been using these floral stamp for my BRAK cards and really liked the monochromatic card Mary did as a sample. This is a really great, easy and fun sketch to follow. I am going to visit a cousin that is going blind the rest of this week and she wants to make a few cards so I decided I am using this sketch and the retired In Colors 2012/2014 as I have lot of paper and ribbon to use. I wanted something bold and yet simple so she will be able to see what we are doing. Pray this goes well.

My cards: Stamps: Petite Petals, Flower Shop, Beautiful Bunch, Six-Sided Sampler
Paper: Tangelo Twist, Whisper White, In Color 2014/16 Color Stack DSP
Ink: Tangelo Twist
Accessories: Fun Flower, Pansy and Petitie Petals Punches, In Color Ribbon, Dimensionals

Thanks for taking the time to look and leave a comment. They are very much appreciated.

Three Challenges Card

Last evening after having a tooth pulled yesterday I finally got in the mood to create. I was doing some looking at different sites and blogs and came up with this card. It fulfills three challenges on one card. The first  is for WT487 on SCS to use lots of textures. Then it fits the HSS189 Color challenge and thirdly, the CCMC311 Sketch. I loved all three challenges and came up with a card I will need in the future for a fall themed swap.

Stamp: Gently Falling (2-step stamping) and Hey There Buds
Ink; Crisp Cantaloupe, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, So Saffron
Paper: Colors to be used Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist, Whisper White
Accessories. Big Shot, Embossing Folder, Pearls, Satin Ribbon, Butterfly Punch

My many textures are the Lost Lagoon layer is embossed and hard to see, Another texture is the hand cut leaves and curled on the edges, added a ribbon bow and pearls to the butterfly.

Thanks for looking, I hope I have inspired you. Any and all comments are greatly appreciated.

My idea of camping

We went camping last week in Montana and I spent a lot of time making cards. Only took a few sheets of cardstock - Basic Gray, Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Sahara Sand; 3 stamp sets - Sea Street, Post Collection and Pretty Postage, one punch, and the new paper stack Moonlight.  Also took my big shot and embossing folders to use on the quilted designs - they make a big difference with the added texture. Made 4 each of the first three and tenth designs, then 2 of each of the other 8 quilted cards = total of 28 cards in 3 days . Add the embellishments to the quilted cards yesterday after I was at home. Off to OWH.

Thank you so much for looking and taking time to leave a comment or two. I appreciated it very much and I may even visit your blog and leave you a little something to smile about.
