Welcome to my little corner of the vast God planned domain. I plan to share mostly my card projects here, you might even possible see some scrapping, quilt projects, and photography. Who knows I may even try other craft projects. Might even share a selection of little recipe cards I have collected over the past few years - scrapped, of course. There may even be some little things of greatness of my daily life. Every now and then, I might even vent!

Another Secret Garden Card

I loved this sketch when I saw it and now for the life of me cannot find it again to recognize who posted the original.  Also like the color combo posted on one of my favorite blog sites so I had to make this card:

For some reason my scanner always cuts off the little bit of edge, going to have to play and figure it out.
Going to be sending this card to some of the Feb BRAK birthdays. Watch your mailbox. Also make some kits for a spring card class in March. Trying to get ahead a little on a few cards for classes and swaps.

Stamp: Secret Garden, Bring on the Cake
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Raspberry Ripple, SAB Print Poetry Designer Series Paper
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Accessories: Secret Garden Framelit Dies, Rhinestone, Dazzling Details, Label Punch, SAB Vine Embossing Folder

Thank you for looking and taking the time to leave a comment.  They are greatly appreciated.
Also lots of thanks to whomever I cased.

Just for you

This is the first valentine card I made today. Pretty plain and simple.
Recipe: CC305 Stamps: Mixed Bunch
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink, DSP Pretty in  Pink and Melon Mambo
Ink: Melon Mambo
Accessories: Blossoms punch, circle punch and rhinestones.
Made another card below after receiving my Stampin' Up Magazine today and reading the "Step It Up" article enclosed. Like the 2nd card much better and decided to enter it in the MOJO228 blog.

Used the same papers but embossed the Pretty in Pink layered on the Cherry Cobbler base.Tilted on an angel the Melon  Mambo DSP. Used only one circle and highlighted all of the pieces with different sized rhinestone and drops of Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Delights. Used some dimensional on the large flower and ran some Certainly Celery lines over the leaf also cut with the blossoms punch. I added Cherry Cobbler Dazzling delights also to the large flower on the v-shapes of each petal and in the center of my small circle.
Let me know what you think of the "stepped up" version.

My Christmas Gift!!

To 4 of my scrapbookking friends was a card making day.  Every year 5 of us exchange birthday/Christmas gifts in De4c and was at a loss as to what to give this year so I made little gift card holders (which I did not scan and keep one) with a certificate in them for a 10 cards/project day at my house.  We met this past Monday on MLK as I had a day off school. We made the following projects: I will detail any card anyone want me to but they were mostly all cased from card makers at Splitcoatstampers.com, my favorite scrap booking outlet.
This card is my January Christmas cards all Year entry so still have 8 more to make.

Had a little bit of a problem getting this die to cut all the way through the paper. Used scissors to cut lots of the spots out. Any ideas??

Quick and simple but very elegants

One gal does not like pink so loved this in the Calypso Coral color

The sketch and color challenge for the week of Jan 9th

Love this vintage set and the colors used here.

My version of the Framelits cut out before I had the die to use.

Love this triple punch and the punch flowers. Was a favorite of all
A little treat for my sweetheart that had to put up with all 5 of us

Another favorite of all the gals.  I think this one will get cased again for some birthdays.

I tried to do a variety of stamps, cards and techniques in order to keep it interesting. Most of these cards used stamp sets, etc from the newest Occasions Mini Catalog and a few from the Sale-A-Bration flyer.  They were all really pleased with the cards. I even have one gal that does not like to stamp a lot but she enjoyed herself doing this.  Said she would come again but she really does not like to order stamp.  She scrapbooks all the time with us and loves cards I make for her.

Sketch Friday Frenzie - SFF123011

This is the Sketch we were given on http://sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com/ to play with.  I have been wanting to use this new stamp set and had a color challenge elsewhere to complete; therefore this is what I came up with.

The Colors to use for the Color Challenge were Going Gray, Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise which is a past color combination from SCS. I did not have going gray so used Basic Gray.
Stamps:Apothecary Art from Stampin' Up
Paper:  Basic Gray, Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise, DSP Twitterpated
Accessories: Colored Pencil, Rhinestones, Basic Gray Satin Ribbon SU, Dimensional

One Sheet Wonder - Happy Birthday

I love doing one sheet wonder cards where you get many cards from an 8X8 sheet of designer paper. Kathy at http://www.joyfullymadedesigns.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html did nine cards but I took the waste pieces and cut them to make a 10th card for the set. My mother told me at Christmastime she was sort of sad she did not get cards because she was almost out of Birthday ones.  I am sending her this set as a thank you for keeping us over the holidays. Kathy thanks for sharing you did an awesome job on your Christmas set of cards. Love them!
