Welcome to my little corner of the vast God planned domain. I plan to share mostly my card projects here, you might even possible see some scrapping, quilt projects, and photography. Who knows I may even try other craft projects. Might even share a selection of little recipe cards I have collected over the past few years - scrapped, of course. There may even be some little things of greatness of my daily life. Every now and then, I might even vent!

Quite the Day

WE had a Women to Women craft day at our church and about 12 women showed up. A few did some scrapbooking and the rest made raggedy flannel baby quilts. We made these for a charity - Life Services - here in Spokane for unwed mothers. I just about finished two quilts, ran our of thread,  and  4 cards today.

This first card is the sketch challenge SCS470 and color challlenge CC460. I made two of the female birthday cards and two of the lower male version using same colors and Try Stampin' on Tuesday site.

Paper: Island Indigo, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Sycamore Street DSP
Whisper white and Sahara Sand
Stamp: Wetlands, Peaceful Petals (new), and See Ya Later (Sale-a-bration)
Ink; Rich Razzleberry and Night of Navy
Accessories: Big Shot, Oval Framelit Dies, Stampin' Dimensionals

More Quilt Cards

These are three of the 6 quilted cards I am doing in a class on Jan 4 at my home. I showed the group the ones I made for Christmas gifts that in in an older post and they wanted to do a class using quilting. My quilting ideas are from Splitcoaststampers, Pinterest, and my quilt books.

Dresden Plate Pattern, thanks to Ellen Smallwood, the designer of this card via Mary Fish. I really like the way it looks without the butterfly also but I wanted to fill the empty space a little more.
Paper: Pacific Point, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Blueberry Crisp retired DSP.
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Butterfly Punch, Label Punch, Circle Punch,
Stampin' Dimensionals, Pearls

Diamond Shape Quilt, by Frenchie. I cased the card and made a couple others with the same design. Added the butterfly to complete the center.
Paper: Gumball Green, midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Print Poetry Paper Stack
Accessories: Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Tiny Butterfly Punch, Needle Punch,
Stampin' Dimensionals.
Going to add a sentiment when I send the card as do not know for what occasion right now.

This card pattern came from a tutorial by Nancy Riley. She has step by step directions but it is really easy once you start and get all of the papers cut. I cut my papers closer to the sizes I needed by measuring.
Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Pools Party, Very Vanilla, Spice Cake DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories. Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Very Vintage button, 1/8" Ribbon in one of the green shades (do not have it with me at the moment), Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for looking and leaving any comments. I love making cards and am currently working on some sets for gifts, Operation Write Home, and a swap group I belong to. Usually make about 500 cards a year.

Witches Brew Halloween

I had purchased this paper to make some Halloween cards and was at the point for my swaps so I used the SFF081613 by Deb Currier for my inspiration.  I wanted more texture and depth so I added a few more layers to the card and the pieces. I am not really a Halloween person but liked this paper since it is not so gorish as some can be. Thanks SU.  I also added dimensional behind a piece of the word paper for more depth. Thanks for the very quick and simple sketch SFF gals. Was a fun card to do and no mess.

Supplies Used:
No stamp sets
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Witches Brew DSP

New Flower Look

Hopefully I can get more time to post on my blog, I was doing great for awhile then life happened more than I wish. My DH hurt his back and we had to take him to ER via ambulance as he could not get out of bed. Then three weeks later he developed a huge kidney stone and had to have it remove just Monday. So I am home catching up on some cards instead spending my spring break on the Oregon coast.

Yesterday I was watching a box video by Brandy and loved the flower she put on her belly band. Also love using this flower punch for my BRAK birthday cards therefore, I combined the two and this is what I came up with. I order the box die cut so those will have to wait a few days but many a card to complete.

Keywords: Mixed Bunch A Round Array
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, A Round Array
Paper: Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Print Poetry DSP PackInk: Raspberry Ripple
Accessories: Dimensionals, Blossom Punch, Modern Label Punch. Primrose Petals Stitched Ribbon, Polka Dot Embossing Folder

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. Comments are greatly appreciated.

I loved this sketch when I saw it and now for the life of me cannot find it again to recognize who posted the original.  Also like the color combo posted on one of my favorite blog sites so I had to make this card:

For some reason my scanner always cuts off the little bit of edge, going to have to play and figure it out.
Going to be sending this card to some of the Feb BRAK birthdays. Watch your mailbox. Also make some kits for a spring card class in March. Trying to get ahead a little on a few cards for classes and swaps.

Stamp: Secret Garden, Bring on the Cake

Accessories: Secret Garden Framelit Dies, Rhinestone, Dazzling Details, Label Punch, SAB Vine Embossing Folder

Also lots of thanks to whomever I cased.

I made these cards for my daughter and her husband.  Their birthdays are only 1 week apart.  My daughter was born 35 years ago today and was the happiest day of my life when I now had a son and a daughter to hold and to love.  They have brought many things to my life to remember and cherish. Love them both a lot.

Paper: Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit, Sahara sand and Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper (all Stampin' Up)

The butterflies were stamped on the Sahara sand and also onto whisper white and then punched out and glued down only along the butterfly body for some dimension.
