This is a card I made for CCMC263 - Sketch and JAI#177- Color. I wanted a masculine looking card and was hard to do with the colors but this is what I cam up with. I fussy cut the goose and added it with dimensionals to lift it off the backgroud.
Stamp: Wetlands
Paper: Color challenge was Soft Sky but I did not have so I used Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Smoky Slate
Accessories: Corner rounder, Dimensionals, Cloud EF
Thanks for taking time to look and leave a comment or ask any questions.
The embossed cloud panel is a great background to the scene you've created, Linda. These colours work well for a masculine card - great job! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. :)
ReplyDeleteLove how you turned the sketch. It works beautifully with Wetlands stamp set. Great idea to emboss the background as such! Thanks for joining us this week at Create with Connie and Mary.
ReplyDeleteVery fun way to flip the sketch and use the panels as the ground. Love it! Thanks for playing along with the sketch challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors you used! And what a great idea to flip the sketch! Thanks for playing the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteThanks you gals for the compliments. I try to turn the sketch when I can otherwise all of my cards seem to go the same direction. Always appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI always like a sketch that is turned on its side! Really like the way you popped the goose up on your card. Using the Sahara Sand paper at the bottom really looks like sand. Thanks for playing the Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteYou combined both challenges to come up with a very nice masculine card indeed! I like the sketch turned horizontally; the Wetlands set looks great here, and love the fussy-cut goose!! Thanks for joining us this week for the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteGreat challenge combo Linda. Your use of Wetlands is very effective and works perfectly with the Just Add Ink colours...a great masculine card! Thanks so much for joining us this week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice 'twist' on the sketch challenge...I like how you turned it...worked so nice with the image! Thanks for playing along this week in the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!
